Question about posting to the site...

Hi Marie,

I just finished my first digi-scrapping page yesterday and tried to post it last night.  I'm not sure if I put it in the right place or not.  I posted it to "My Blog", but the picture would not show up.  It just has a link to it.  Maybe I did something wrong.  I used the Full HTML option, and inserted the URL using image tags <img></img> (I'm not new to HTML).  Still, it only gave the link and my HTML tags show up right in the text.  I also tried copying/pasting the image to the body, which also didn't work. 

After looking around more today, I found Create Content and tried to do it as an Image instead of a Blog Entry.  Thought I had it all figured out...the preview looked correct...but when I hit the Submit button, I either got "Cannot display web page" or an Error 500 - Internal Server Error.  So, I gave up on that.

The only thing I haven't tried yet under Create Content is Forum Topic.  So, here I am!  Smile  I decided maybe I'd better come here to ask you some questions.

The other thing I have noticed is that my date/time are incorrect on my Blog Entry, and it was the same in the preview when I was trying to upload to the Image section.  It says December 31, 1969 - 18:00.  I chose the correct time zone under My Account.  The right date/time seems to show up for everyone else, so not sure why mine is about 38 years behind!  LOL  It is that way on this post as well.

I also wondered why the delimiter not working.  It says to insert <!--break--> where you want your message to break for the trimmed version, but when I do that, it doesn't break where I want it, and of course the <!--break--> comment shows up in my body text. 

So, what am I doing wrong here?  Where is the best place to post something like my first digi-scrapping page?  Was I right to put it in the Blog or should I have posted it to this Forum (if so, under which Forum)?  How come the picture wouldn't show up in the Blog, and it was only a link?  Looking forward to answers to these questions so I can be a better member of the FDS Community!  Smile

Adding an Image to your blog!

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I have fixed the problem and your page looks great. What I wonderful job. I also posted it in the July's Scraplifter's Challenge Gallery.

I have found that it works best if you add the photo to a gallery before trying to insert in your blog. To do this just go to create content and click image. There you can upload your page. You can choose which gallery to assign it to. If in doubt you can always add it to the General Digital Scrapbooking Gallery or you can even choose no gallery at all.

Then from you blog just click on the camera and a list of all the pictures you have uploaded will appear. Choose your image. If you want it to appear large change the image size from thumbnail to original.
