How do I save may pages for a smaller file size

Hello Marie,
I love your site!

I have a problem, that you may be able to help me with. I have 76 scrapbook pages I designed using Photoshop CS. All my pages are saved as psd files. I want to take them to a local printer, and  have them printed on nice paper, front to back, and get a hardbound book made. My problem is all my pages are huge in file size, like 40 meg. so total is around 10 gig. I've been waiting to hear back from the printer with some options. Do you suggest a good way to shrink the size, and keep the quality?
Just thought I'd check.
Thanks for your time.

Save as JPG

Thanks for your question. You should be excited to know that there is a very simple solution to your problem.

Go to File > choose Save As > in the pop up window change the file formate to JPG instead of PSD. Name your file and click Save. (Make sure you don't save over you original files) In the next pop up window you can choose either high or maximum and click OK. This should take your files for about 40 mb to less than 1 mb.

Hope all goes well. Please let me know if you have any other questions.Marie
